Volunteer
at PUSH
Every year we greatly appreciate the help of fantastic people with different skills, interests, and backgrounds.
Are you up for experiencing PUSH behind the scenes?
As a volunteer you have the chance to support our core team remotely throughout the year, and especially during the event days.
We have a broad range of tasks we can use a hand with. Topics before the event may range from team organisation, to event planning, to supporting our marketing.
During the event things focus on setting up the venue, checking in guest, and supporting speakers and breakout hosts.
Join us and be a part of making one of Europes largest UX events a reality, watch great talks and have the opportunity to expand your UX network.
Tell us you're interested using the form below or sign up to our newsletter to hear about similar opportunities this year and in the future!
What PUSH activities can I potentially participate in as a volunteer?
⏷
Our main event is the annual PUSH UX conference, which typically takes places in autumn. Here we can use a hand with things such as event and production planning, preparing goodie bags, setting up the event, supporting speakers and breakout hosts during the event, social media coverage, and much more.
We are also active throughout the year with PUSH SKILLS where we prepare and run trainings in various locations.
Lastly, we might occasionally offer to participate in core activities throughout the year such as marketing and communications, supporting the core team with ideation, graphic design etc.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
⏷
Prior experience or specific skills are not a hard requirement.
As part of the application form we'll ask you to rate your experience for a few areas where we can typically use help.
Will use this to match you to the right task based on your skills and interests.
What does volunteering give me access to?
⏷
As conference volunteer you will be able to participate in PUSH UX for free and can follow most talks and sessions. We provide catering on all on-site days. In some cases we can offer support with accommodation. You'll also get access to all talk recordings in case you miss any during the event.
Will I have to work all the time during the event?
⏷
We make sure to have a team of volunteers large enough to cover all tasks, so you'll be able to see most talks (probably 7 to 8 out of 9 per day) live as an audience member.
You'll have the chance to point out talks that are particularly interesting to you and we'll make sure you can attend those.
Plus you can always watch the ones you miss as recording after the event.
When will I hear back from you?
⏷
Generally you can expect us to reach out in early September when we have good understanding of the various onsite tasks.
Submit your details any time from now if you want to make sure you're on the list, or if you are interested to already join in the preparation upfront.
