The Outlier Lab: Turning Unexpected Insights into UX Gold

The Outlier Lab is an interactive workshop built around a simple but powerful question: What if the insights we dismiss as “outliers” are actually the sparks of innovation?

Too often, surprising findings get labeled as ‘edge cases’ and quietly dropped. But history tells us breakthroughs often start at the margins.

In this session, we’ll tackle five real-world UX research challenges and work together on strategies to:

  • Elevate overlooked insights into innovation opportunities
  • Navigate stakeholder pushback with confidence
  • Reframe “weird” user behaviour as foresight signals
  • Expand research from reporting → to leading change

This session is for:
UX researchers, designers, strategists and anyone who believes user insights should shape more than just product roadmaps.
