Introverted Leaders Unite!

This is for all the introverted designers who are ambitious, driven, and thoughtful. For those who want to drive the vision and direction of their design teams, but don't fit the model of an extroverted leader.

Have you ever been told to make space in the room? Have you dreaded networking events, but still go because you know it's necessary?

Emiri has met many skilled designers who are introverted, and their skills of empathy, listening, and reflection would make them great leaders. And yet so often, leaders are expected to be extroverted to be successful.

Let's come together in this breakout session to talk about successful ways of making your design leadership voice heard. How can we find key moments of opportunity to make our voice heard, especially in companies that may not always understand the value of design? How can we use our introverted skills to our advantage, especially in a time where empathy is important with the rise of AI?

Emiri will share successes and failures from her own experience as an introverted design leader and facilitate an open discussion.

PS: Extroverts are invited too – we would love to hear from you, and have you listen to us as well!
