call for
exhibition

Share your interactive experiences, prototypes and projects!
Talks are a great way to share knowledge and get inspired, but design is also about tangible artefacts.
Uniquely at PUSH UX you’ll find an interactive project exhibition at the main venue during both conference days. We love this format as a practical addition to the presentations on stage.
Since 2012, the exhibition at PUSH UX has hosted over 200 projects. The exhibition is seamlessly embedded into the conference schedule and location, stretching over 2 floors in the main venue. These great exhibits continue the conversations started on stage.

No – if you submit a project and we invite you to join the interactive exhibition, it will not cost you a thing.
We’ll even throw in a free ticket for you to come and present your work to other design enthusiasts at PUSH UX.
The conference language is English and a major part of its audience is international. Therefore, please submit your proposal in English.
Absolutely! We’ve had several commercial products exhibited in the past, and find them an excellent addition to the exhibition e.g. if they offer a behind-the-scenes view for your fellow designers.
Mentioning your/your clients brand is of course ok. But if you want to use your presence for commercial activities including sales or recruiting, you should reach out about sponsorship opportunities instead.

If you submit a project and we invite you to join the interactive exhibition you will receive up to 2 free tickets with full access to the conference, depending on your team size. You are allowed to switch tickets within your team per day.
You will have a space in the exhibition area to present your project to the conference’s audience. We provide a wall for you to hang posters or lightweight objects and a table to present further items or leaflets of your project.
The exhibition is scheduled and promoted as open to the audience on the two conference days in the morning, during the break out sessions and during lunch and coffee breaks.
These are the best times to present your project and engage with the audience in the exhibition area. During the talks you will be able to enjoy the speakers just as our other guests.
We are currently filling up the last few remaining slots in the exhibition, so the sooner you can submit your project the better :)

During the talks the exhibition is closed and you may enjoy the speakers and their contents. We are guarding the exhibition space during the talks.
The conference’s schedule will be published several weeks in advance on our website.
No – the platform to present your project and engage with the audience will be the exhibition area on the two conference days in the morning, during the break out sessions and during lunch and coffee breaks.
Rest assured that we will promote the exhibition before – through our social media channels – and throughout the conference – referencing it on stage and offering guided tours during the break out sessions – to maximize the amount of visitors in the area.
We want to enrich the exhibition with smart and critically designed concepts, experiments, prototypes or final products, especially in the fields of:
- digital and physical interface design
- HCI and ergonomics
- product and service design
- interactive arts
- motion design
- UX research
We put no limit on technology, method or fields of discourse. You can apply with a projection, a spatial installation, a mobile app, an unconventional musical instrument, an engaging web service for oncology patients, a connected toaster, a VR enhanced swing, a shared classroom experience, a self-driving car in dispute with you... all of these types of projects have been part of the PUSH exhibition in the past.
No, we expect you to present your project on both conference days as some of our visitors may take an interest in your project but will not be able to engage with you on that single day that you are presenting.
We offer a setup day the day before the conference which is Wednesday, October 18th, 2023. You may start to set up your project from 1pm onwards.
We prefer you to set up on that day, free of stress, within our six hour time slot so that the next day you can fully engage with the visitors of the conference right from the start.
If you definitely cannot manage to set up on that day you can also set up on the first conference day within a 1,5 hour time slot, from 7:30 to 9:00 am, before the conference opens its doors.
You will have an allocated space in the exhibition area to present your project to the conference’s audience. The space is lit with natural light and projections have proven tricky to set up in the past years. We provide a wall for you to hang posters or lightweight objects and a table to present further items or leaflets of your project.
You are free to present your project in any way that you see fit (though, please consider that you are sharing an open space).
We ask you to provide as much technical equipment as possible by yourself. We do not have any electronic devices in stock that we can borrow to you.
However, if you are definitely unable to bring equipment on your own let us know in your project application about your requirements, and we will try our best to provide it for you.
We are guarding the exhibition space during the talks, i.e. while you are not at your booth because you enjoy watching the talks. We also offer a tech insurance should anything get damaged. This is free of charge for you. To make sure your items are covered by the insurance you'll have to provide an itemised list including serial numbers before the event.
We provide you with one electrical outlet at your booth if requested. If you need more than one please bring your own multi-plug.
We will provide a basic poster with your project title and description and contact information that you provided during your project application, branded in the colors of PUSH UX.
Anything beyond that you should bring yourself.
You are free to present your project in any way that you see fit (though, please consider that you are sharing an open space).
Unfortunately we are not able to cover travel expenses for all project exhibitors.
If this is the only reason keeping you from applying we would like to encourage you to apply anyway and let us know about your needs. We will try to find a solution together with you.
