Terms

Version June 4, 2019

1. Ticketing

When you attend one of our events, your participation is subject to our terms and conditions, the privacy policy as well as our code of conduct.

Ticketing and registration are handled by an external ticketing partner.

All amounts are subject to the German USt (VAT) of currently 19%, which is displayed separately in the invoice you receive via email.

Tickets are non-refundable once ordered.

We may offer payment by invoice as an option. If the due payment does not reach our bank account 14 days before the event date, the ticket(s) become invalid and the attendee will not be able to join the event. You will still have a legally binding obligation to pay the full amount of the order placed.

Tickets cover access to the respective event only, as well as catering. You will need to take care of any additional costs such as travel, hotel, travel visa or similar yourself.

2. Ticket Transfer

You have a ticket but can't attend any more? Get in touch with us. While it is not possible to cancel tickets (see above), you can transfer your ticket to another person of your choice.

Please note that only the person named on the ticket will be granted access to the conference, so you have to contact us if you want to pass your ticket to someone else.

To change the attendee name on a ticket, get in touch with us at the latest 7 days before the event. Include your name, email and ticket as well as the name and email of the person you'd like us to transfer the ticket to.

3. Event Changes or Cancellation

We assume no liability whatsoever in the circumstances that an event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of an event impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event includes, but is not limited to: war, fire, labour strike, transportation strike, extreme weather or other emergencies.

Workshops are subject to a minimum of 6 attendees signing up until 1 month before the event. We will confirm or cancel the workshop via email.

In case of a full cancellation of an event, the full ticket price will be refunded to you. In case of the cancellation of single event days, you will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.

We do not take responsibility for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration, cancellation or postponement of an event. This might include but is not limited to: accommodation or transportation cancellation and alteration fees.

4. Program and Schedule Changes

We reserve the right to change the program and schedule. This can mean changing speakers (if they become unavailable due to sickness or any other reason). If a speaker or workshop trainer becomes unavailable, we will find a fitting replacement or cancel the event if that is not possible, see paragraph 3.

5. Location Change

We reserve the right to change the location of the event.

Changes to the event location are no cause for a refund of the ticket price or for claims for changes in accommodation or transportation.

6. Accessibility

You need to let us know in advance (before purchasing a ticket) if you would like to attend our event and have any special needs concerning access or other aspects. We will try to accommodate for such requirements on an individual basis, as it is our goal to make our events as welcoming and inclusive as possible.

7. Liability

In the context of our events, we are not liable for damages caused by minor negligence, unless it is a violation of an essential contractual obligation or damage to life, body or health is caused by minor negligence. In case of a violation of an essential contractual obligation caused by minor negligence, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract.

This limitation of liability also applies to the liability of parties we commissioned to act on our behalf.

8. Documentation

We reserve the right to be recording video including audio and taking photos during the event. This is probably also in your interest, as we plan to release a selection of the documentation after the event!

With your registration, you grant us the right to use this material, free of charge and in perpetuity, for documentation and marketing purposes.

9. Acquiring Tickets for Others

If you get tickets on behalf of somebody else (such as a colleague or team member) or when you transfer your ticket to someone else, you are required to obtain their permission to register them for the event, share their contact information and consent to the privacy policy and terms and conditions on their behalf. Access to the event is subject to the acceptance of these terms and conditions.

10. Applicable Law

German law applies. The local court for any disputes is Munich.

11. Severability Clause

Any amendments to these terms must be in writing in order to be valid. This applies also to the abrogation and the amendment of this written form requirement.

If any provision of these terms is, for any reason, invalid and/or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
