Designing Design Processes

About the Session

As product people, we end up tackling dozens of projects: from tiny Github issues to cross-functional new products. Yet picking the right design process when starting a project can be challenging.

When do you require solid research to start and when the product thinking is enough? When do you start with first principles and when do you rely on industry patterns? When do you rely purely on design intuition and when do you validate your solution? Based on the lessons learned while building Intercom, Alex will talk through designing a decision-making framework for picking the right design process.
