For us at envis precisely Events GmbH (the company organizing push conference), transparency and privacy are important issues. This document outlines how we collect, store and process personal data, if you attend one of our events or use our website.
Registering for an event
When you register for an event such as push conference or one of our workshops, we ask you to provide us with personal information such as your name, email address and profession, as well as payment information.
We use this information for the following purposes:
- To issue your ticket to the conference and identify you as a ticket holder on entry
- To print personalized name tags at the event
- To issue an invoice
- To provide you with updates about the event you signed up for, as well as future events by us via our newsletter
- To create aggregate and anonymous statistics (e.g. the percentage of guests who identify as Interaction Designers), which we’ll use to improve our offering and market to sponsors. We will never include personally identifiable details in these statistics.
- All information you submit will be processed and stored by our ticketing partner Eventbrite and our Newsletter platform Mailchimp, as described in their privacy policies.
Participating in an event
When you attend one of our events, your participation is subject to our terms and conditions as well as our code of conduct.
Event Documentation
We reserve the right to be shooting video including audio and taking images during the event. With your registration you grant us the right to use this material, free of charge and in perpetuity, for documentation and marketing purposes.
Participating in a feedback raffle
At some of our events, we might offer you to fill out a feedback form to help us improve our events in the future. Guests who provide feedback may be eligible to win prizes. In order to identify you and hand over your prize, we ask you to include your name on the feedback card.
If your card is drawn as one of the winners, the name you filled in will be announced from the stage.
You can also choose to submit feedback without including a name, if you wish not to participate in the raffle.
The feedback on all feedback cards will be converted into a digital format. In the process of this conversion, we strip out all personally identifiable data, including your name. We destroy the physical cards as soon their content has been digitized.
Signing up for our newsletter
You can sign up for our email newsletter either directly on our website or by registering for one of our events.
We will use the information you provide to send you the push conference newsletter to inform you about upcoming events and newly available content (like talk videos, speakers, ticketing etc.).
You can tell us to stop sending you the push conference newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or by contacting us at newsletter@push-conference.com.
If you registered for an event, we will also send you timely updates about the event you are attending, such as changes to the schedule or instructions for how to get to the venue.
We use MailChimp as our email automation platform. The contact information you provide when signing up for our newsletter will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms. This information may include your email address, your name (so we can greet you by name in our emails), profession, company name and website address.
Submitting a proposal
When you submit a proposal (e.g. a talk, exhibition piece, breakout session or other content to present at the conference), we will use the information you enter internally to determine if your proposal is a good fit for the current conference. If you are selected, we will reach out to you directly to arrange everything else. We will not publish any of the data you enter in the proposal submission form without coordinating with you directly. We may retain any information you submit until you tell us to delete it, so that we can consider your proposal for events in the future.
We use Typeform as a platform for form handling. Any data you submit through our proposal form will be processed in accordance with their terms and conditions
Applying to join push conference as a volunteer
When apply to participate in push conference as a volunteer, we will use the information you enter internally to determine if you are a good fit for the position. If you are selected as a potential volunteer, we will reach out to you directly to arrange everything else. We will not publish any of the data you enter in the application form without coordinating with you directly. If you indicate that you would like to be considered as a volunteer not just for this year's conference, but also for events in the future, we will retain the data you entered until you tell us to delete it.
We use Google Forms as a platform for form handling. Any data you submit through our proposal form will be processed in accordance with their privacy policy
Using our Website
When using push-conference.com, we use Google Analytics to collect usage data. This data helps us improve our offering.
The data collected with Google Analytics is retained for a maximum of 14 months. The Google Analytics Terms of Use apply.
If you prefer not to deactivate Google Analytics, you can use the Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on

We use the following third party services to provide our offering. These sub-processors provide services such as data storage and hosting, email marketing services, ticket issuance, billing and entry management.

Children
Minors under 18 years of age need the consent of their parents or guardians before they submit personal data to us.
Data Inquiries and Removal
Personal information you have provided to us can be deleted at any time. This doesn’t apply to data used for billing and accounting purposes. If you wish for your personal information to be deleted or if you wish to obtain a copy of your data, please email us.
Changes to this Policy
We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time in order to comply with legal requirements or to enable us to deliver and improve our services.
