After studying at the Hochschule für Gestaltung (Design School) in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, a brief excursion in the world of product design at designaffairs was the only thing to interrupt his automotive focus. Florian began his professional career at Audi Design working in design communication. Two years later he moved to interior design where he developed a range of show car interfaces and UIs for mass production. Back then it was still possible to explore this unknown territory in peace and quiet while thoroughly acquiring UX basics. It was at this time that future-oriented concepts like the first ever integration of mobile services in a vehicle and real-time 3D based UI systems emerged.
At the end of 2007 he took a dare to leave the company and undertake an experiment with iconmobile. One involving digging a tunnel between the worlds of mobility and automobiles. The greatness of this idea is apparent in icon incar’s success in a niche market that’s gaining importance and addressing key questions about the future of mobility.
